2024 Union vote: official results now available

You can now consult the representativeness of each of the union associations, which will come into force on September 1. These results were recorded following 16th union vote in the construction industry, which took place June 3–22.

Now’s the time to register! The new Répertoire, aimed at employees wanting to upgrade their skills and apprentices with a training obligation, came online on August 20, 2024. It’s the result of a partnership between the CCQ and the construction industry’s employer and union associations.

Employer survey

Twice a year, employers are asked to fill out a survey about anticipated activity and recruitment difficulties. In the spring 2024 survey, employers anticipated an increase in volume of work in coming months and, consequently, a greater need for workers.

Preliminary results of the 2024 union election are revealed

Today, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) is revealing the preliminary results of the 16th union vote in the construction industry, which took place June 3–22. Note that the definitive and detailed results will be published only in August, as workers may contest the notice of allegiance that they receive until July 26.

More than $647 million paid out to construction workers

On June 20, 2024, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) sent out more than 193,000 vacation pay cheques to workers in the Québec construction industry. A total of more than $647 million was distributed.
