Online Boom Lift and Aerial Platform
The CCQ offers a “blended education” version of the Boom Lift and Aerial Platform course in which the theoretical section is taken online and the practical section in a vocational training centre.
The theoretical section, which lasts 3 hours, is always available on the Web and replaces a full day of training. It may even be completed in several steps if necessary. This reorganization reduces the duration of training and travel time for participants. Once it is completed, participants will simply have to complete the practical section of the course, which lasts just one day.
Participants have 3 weeks to complete the theoretical section online before they take the practical section. Once the online training has been assessed, participants are notified to attend the practical section in a training centre.
Assessment of the online training must be completed within three weeks. However, the Web content of the course remains accessible to participants for review until they take the practical section.
Incentives
For the online section of the training, participants receive an incentive of $25. Apprentices who have not reached the maximum apprenticeship credits will receive 3 hours of credits for passing this section.
For the practical section, participants will receive incentives corresponding to their situation. In addition, apprentices who have not reached the maximum apprenticeship credits will receive 8 hours of credits for the practical section.
Participants must pass both sections to obtain their Attestation of Vocational Training proving that they have passed the course.
It should be noted that participants cannot register for this course if they have already taken the Boom Lift and Aerial Platform course.

Online Telescoping Lift Truck
The CCQ has developed a “blended education” version of the Telescoping Lift Truck course in which the theoretical section is taken online and the practical section in a vocational training centre.
The theoretical section, which lasts 2 hours, is always available on the Web. It may even be completed in several steps if necessary. Once it is completed, participants will simply have to complete the practical section of the course, which lasts just one day. This reorganization reduces the duration of training and the need to travel for participants.
This version of the course will be available in late March 2015. Participants will have 3 weeks to complete the theoretical section online before they take the practical section. Once the online training has been assessed, participants will be notified to attend the practical section in a vocational training centre.
Assessment of the online training must be completed within one month. However, the Web content of the course remains accessible to participants for review until they take the practical section of the course.
Incentives
For the online section of the Telescoping Lift Truck course, participants will receive a financial incentive of $25. For the practical section, participants will receive incentives corresponding to their situation.
Participants must pass both sections to obtain their Attestation of Vocational Training proving that they have passed the course.
It should be noted that participants cannot register for this course if they have already taken the Telescoping Lift Truck course.

Signalisation et gréage online
The CCQ is offering a “blended learning” version of the Signalisation et gréage pour levage et manutention à l’aide d’une grue course: the theoretical portion takes place online and the practical part in a vocational training centre.
The theoretical portion, which takes five hours, is available at all times on the Web and replaces two days of training. It may even be completed in several steps, if necessary. This new training option reduces the duration of training and involves less travel for participants. Then, only the practical portion of the course, lasting 18 hours, will have to be completed.
Participants have about three weeks to complete the theoretical portion online before taking the practical portion. The online training must be marked within three weeks, and it can be taken an unlimited number of times. Once participants have passed the online portion of the course, they will receive a notification to attend the practical portion in a training centre. The online course content remains accessible to participants for review until they take the practical portion.
Incentives
For the online portion of the course, participants receive an incentive of $25. Apprentices who have not reached the maximum apprenticeship credits and whose trade definition includes materials handling will receive five hour credits for completing this training successfully.
For the practical portion, participants will receive incentives corresponding to their situation. In addition, apprentices who have not reached the maximum apprenticeship credits and whose trade definition includes materials handling will receive 18 hour credits for the practical portion.
Participants must pass both portions of the course in order to receive the Attestation of Vocational Training, showing that they have successfully completed the training.
It should be noted that participants cannot register for this course if they have already taken the course Signalisation et gréage pour levage et manutention à l’aide d’une grue.
