Know your rights (discrimination, intimidation, harassment, violence and unhealthy work environment)

The law protects you

You shouldn't feel harassed, isolated, humiliated, or threatened on the job. You have the right to a healthy workplace without violence, harassment, or discrimination.

Whether you’re a victim of or a witness to harmful situations like these, help is available. To find out about your options, have a look at the sections below and choose the one that best fits your situation.

You can also contact the Discrimination, Intimidation and Harassment Information and Resource Line, a completely confidential service created by the CCQ to provide you with all the information you need on the recourses available to you.

Keep in mind that a number of entities, including labour associations, Quebec’s Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse and your municipality’s police department are also there to support you in your efforts.
