Here are the steps to take:
- Register the company with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec (REQ), if applicable.
- Obtain a contractor’s licence and pass the related examinations, if applicable. The licence will be issued by one of the following organizations, depending on the case:
- Register the company with the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ), whether or not you will have employees for your construction work. On the other hand, if you are subcontracting work, this registration is not necessary.
