Construction holiday
Published: 07/13/2022

This year, the construction holiday officially starts Sunday, July 24, at 0:01 a.m. and ends Saturday, August 6, at midnight. About 80% of the industry’s workers and employers will be taking a well-deserved break.

During this period, the vast majority of construction sites will be closed. Special rules have been set out, however, and agreements may be concluded between employers and employees for some sites. For more information on the special rules for the annual summer obligatory vacation, please consult the checklists made specifically for this purpose.

Closure of offices and Customer Service

Please note that the offices of the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) will also be closed during this period. Our regional offices and our Customer Service telephone service will reopen on August 8 on the regular schedule.
