It’s time to register! The new directory for workers who want to upgrade their skills, apprentices, and people practising an occupation with a training obligation was put online on August 22, 2023.

This training offer launched by the CCQ is the result of a collaboration with the construction industry’s employer and union associations.

Every year, thousands of employees register for one or more upgrading activities. By doing this, they enhance their knowledge, develop their skills in the field, and become more desirable for employers to hire.

The Best Part of You Is You!

A new promotional campaign titled “The Best Part of You Is You!” encourages workers to develop their skills and register as soon as possible for an upgrading activity from the Fiers et compétents program. The campaign also invites employers to take advantage of the CCQ’s on-the-job training service, Service de formation aux entreprises (SFAE).

For the second consecutive year, former hockey players Maxim Lapierre and Guillaume Latendresse, who co-host the popular podcast “La Poche Bleue,” are joining the Fiers et compétents campaign. This time, they’ll have company: the triathlete, Olympian, and motivator Kathy Tremblay, the energetic founder of BougeBouge, who offers valuable self-improvement advice to the industry’s workers and employers.

In coming weeks, different advice videos will be broadcast on the Fiers et compétents platforms. The CCQ would like to thank the École des métiers de la construction de Montréal, where the videos were shot, for its great collaboration and warm welcome.
