The registration period for the Cours de connaissance générale de l’industrie de la construction (CCGIC) will take place from February 17 to 28, 2025, inclusive.

This registration period is addressed to individuals who wish to obtain a competency certificate for the specialized occupation for which they hold a diploma, among them:

• Welder
  Pipe welder (high pressure)

Please note that since the entry into force, on November 30, 2024, of measures resulting from the Act to Modernize the Construction Industry, graduates who wish to obtain an occupational competency certificate to become a line worker no longer have to go through this registration process.

In fact, qualified line worker candidates, as well as blasters and drillers, survey instrument attendants, and divers, as well as those who have entered as well as individuals who have entered the industry according to the state of the labour pools, do not have to register for the CCGIC to obtain a first occupation competency certificate (OCC). However, to renew their OCC, they must, within their training obligation period, pass the CCGIC, which is divided into two distinct training periods.
