Erector Mechanic (Glazier) Examination

The examination is 3 hours long. It contains 60 questions and each question is worth 1 point. The required passing grade is 60%. The materials for your use during the examination are provided to you. They are: a pencil, a sheet of paper, a calculator, a ruler and an eraser. No other material or reference document is allowed during the examination.

Section 3 - Installing and repairing windows, doors and garage doors (25%)

  • Preparing the opening
  • Installing the frame
  • Installing glass and components
  • Installing hardware
  • Installing insulation and sealing products
  • Installing garage doors
  • Checking and repairing windows, doors and garage doors

Section 4 - Installing and repairing glass panels, showers, glass doors, glass mirrors and related glass products (30%)

  • Installing and repairing glass panels, showers and glass doors:  
    • Installing hardware
    • Installing panes of glass and components  
    • Preparing the location to receive a glass panel
    • Installing glass doors
    • Checking and repairing glass panels, showers and glass doors  

  • Installing mirrors, glass railings, glass guardrails and related glass products: 
    • Preparing the location for putting in place mirrors, glass railings, glass guardrails and related glass products 
    • Installing glass mirrors, glass railings and guardrails and related glass product
    • Inspecting the work
