Plasterer Examination

The examination is 3 hours long. It consists of 60 questions and each question is worth 1 point. The required passing grade is 60%. The materials supplied for your use during the examination are: a calculator, a paper sheet, a pencil and an eraser. No other material or reference document is allowed during the examination.

Section 1 - Joint Treatment (45%)

  • Appropriate use of necessary products, tools and accessories
  • Appropriate choice and mixture of coating ingredients 
  • Installing mouldings and other trims
  • Following work procedures for preparing and doing surface jointing work
  • Identifying possible causes of a problem
  • Preparing and doing repairs 

Section 2 - Installing an Acrylic System (25%)

  • Appropriate use of necessary products, tools and accessories
  • Appropriate choice and mixture of coating ingredients
  • Following work procedures and adequately applying acrylic coatings on a wall insulation system 

Section 3 - Specialized Working (30 %)

  • Applying a Cement Parge 
  • Appropriate use of necessary products, tools and accessories
  • Appropriate choice and mixture of coating ingredients
  • Following work procedures for preparing and doing parging work on various surfaces 
  • Appropriate use of necessary products, tools and accessories
  • Applying a cement parge and a popcorn-type textured finish
  • Appropriate choice and mixture of coating ingredients
  • Identifying possible causes of a problem
  • Preparing and doing repairs
  • Making, installing and restoring ornamental elements
  • Following work procedures for making mouldings on-site
