Interior Systems Installer Examination

The examination is 3 hours long. It consists of 61 questions and each question is worth 1 point. The required passing grade is 60%. The materials supplied for your use during the examination are: a calculator, a sheet of paper, a plan book and an eraser. No other material or reference document is allowed during the examination.

  • Making a control joint (expansion joint)

  • Installing gypsum boards 

Section 3 - Installing a Suspended Ceiling (30 %)

  • Installing a suspended acoustic tile ceiling
    • Interpreting a plan
    • Identifying necessary equipment for doing the work
    • Dividing a surface
    • Installing the suspension system and tiles
  • Installing a suspended gypsum ceiling 
    • Interpreting a plan
    • Identifying necessary equipment for doing the work
    • Installing a traditional suspension system
    • Installing gypsum panels
    • Building a drop ceiling
