Tile Setter Examination

The examination is 3 hours long. It contains 60 questions and each question is worth 1 point. The required passing grade is 60%. The materials for your use during the examination are provided to you. They are: a pencil, a paper sheet, a calculator and an eraser. No other material or reference document is allowed during the examination.

Grouting the tiles :
- Knowing the properties of and conditions for using the different types of grout
- Preparing and applying grout

Section 3 - Installing other types of wall coverings and flooring (22%)

Installing slabs on floors, stairs and walls
- Preparing the work to be done :
  - Determining the sequence of work
  - Preparing flagstones to receive anchors
  - Identifying the location of the anchor points
  - Cutting and drilling the flagstones
- Installing the flagstones :
  - Selecting and using the appropriate products for the installation conditions
  - Gluing the flagstones to the substrate
  - Placing and fastening the anchors on the flagstones or substrate (mechanical anchors, wire)
- Grouting the flagstones :
  - Choosing and using grouting products
  - Grouting the flagstones
Applying terrazzo flooring
- Preparing the work to be done :
  - Selecting and using the appropriate tools and equipment
  - Mixing the terrazzo ingredients
