Reinforcing Steel Erector Examination - Applicable from January 16
The examination is 3 hours long. It contains 60 questions and each question ia worth 1 point. The required passing grade is 60%. The materials for your use during the examination are provided to you. They are: a pencil, a paper sheet, a calculator and an eraser. No other material or reference document is allowed during the examination.
Skill content on which questions may be based
Section 1 - Plan and organize the work (25%)
- Prepare the work
- Take safety measures
Section 2 - Fabricate and install concrete reinforcement elements (55%)
- Familiarize yourself with lines, levels and templates
- Mark the structure
- Install supports, spacers, bars, stirrups and wire mesh
- Attach reinforcement steel and wire mesh
- Reinforce the steel structure for rigging (prefabricated)
- Check assembly conformity
- Complete a structure with a post-tensioning prestressed system
Section 3 - Perform modification and preparation work on reinforcement steel (20%)
- Adjust steel reinforcement bars
- Connect steel reinforcement bars
- Weld reinforcement steel
