Measures instituted due to the Canada Post service interruption

Following the resumption of service at Canada Post, all CCQ activities have now returned to normal. If you need to send information or documents to the CCQ, you can use Canada Post services or one of the following alternative means:
- By the CCQ’s online services
- By filling out one of the forms available online
- By fax (use your regional office’s number)
- By messenger service (UPS, Purolator, FedEx, etc.), to the address of your regional office
- In person, at one of our regional offices

MÉDIC Construction Cards
The MÉDIC cards for the insurance period from January to June 2025 were sent out between January 9 and 13, 2025. For more information, consult the MÉDIC Construction FAQ.
At any time, you can access the digital version of your MÉDIC Construction card through the CCQ's online services and the MÉDIC online application.
Vacation cheques
- If you did not request a cheque reissurance, you should have received your cheque by mail. If not, please contact Customer service.
- If you requested a reissurance before December 15, 2024, and were unable to collect it at one of our regional offices before December 31, 2024, your cheque has been sent by mail to your address. It is no longer possible to pick it up at a regional office. Please note that the following mention is printed on the envelope of the reissued cheque: Nouvel envoi janvier 2025. As for the cheque initially issued, which was canceled following your request for reissuance, there is no need to cash it even if it was delivered to you after the resumption of postal services.
Cheques for incentive measure following a training course
Concerning training periods held between November 9 and December 13, 2024:
- If you were unable to collect your cheque at one of our regional offices before December 31, 2024, your cheque has been sent by mail to your address. It is no longer possible to pick it up at a regional office.

Frequently asked questions – MÉDIC Construction
When will I receive my MÉDIC card?
- The MÉDIC cards will be sent out gradually, starting January 9, 2025. At any time, you can access the digital version of your MÉDIC Construction card through the CCQ's online services and the MÉDIC online application.
How do I know if I am insured and what my insurance coverage will be in January 2025?
- If you are registered for the online services, you can consult the coverage to which you are entitled and the MÉDIC Construction bulletin associated with your plan.
How can I claim expenses if I haven’t received my MÉDIC Construction card?
- If you are registered for the online services, you can access the MÉDIC Online section and submit your claims, or you can do so by using the MÉDIC Construction application.
- If you were insured for the period from July to December 2024 and are insured in January 2025, you can use the card that you received for the preceding period.
- If you can access MÉDIC Construction online, a virtual card is also available on that platform.
- If your healthcare professionals (pharmacist, dentist, etc.) already have the data associated with your MÉDIC card, these data can still be used.
I am a newly insured person; how can I register my dependents?- If you are registered for the online services, you can access the section “Gestion des personnes à charge”.
- If you are not registered for the online services, you can fill out the form Declaration or updating of dependents, found on the website, and send it by fax or courier service, using the information on the form. The form may also be brought in person to one of our regional offices.
I paid my notice of insurability by mailing a cheque. How can I know if you have received it and whether I will be insured in January 2025?
- If you are registered for the online services, you can consult your insurance coverage there.
- If your online file shows that you do not seem to be insured or if you are not registered for the online services, check with your financial institution whether your cheque has been cashed.
- You have the option of making a bank transfer for the amount given on your notice until January 6. When it is processed, your coverage will be retroactive to January 1, 2025. Keep your receipts. You will be able to send them when your insurance coverage is confirmed.
I am not registered for the online services. What should I do?- If you know that you are insured, you can use your MÉDIC card from the preceding period or provide your CCQ client number to your pharmacy or dentist when you visit.
- If you have major expenses planned in early 2025, contact the Customer Service to find out what your insurance plan is, if you don’t know.
- If you are insured, you will receive your MÉDIC Construction card in January. Keep your receipts.
