Request for reissuance of a vacation cheque: How to receive your cheque
VACATION CHEQUE – YOU REQUESTED A REISSUANCE before December 15: It was initially announced that the cheques would be sent by private courier, but our supplier is no longer able to provide the anticipated service. Given these circumstances, your cheque has been sent to one of our regional offices and you must wait to receive an email before going to a regional office. Consult the details below.

It is important to know that when you requested reissuance of your vacation cheque, the cheque initially sent by Canada Post was automatically voided. Therefore, you must not cash this cheque when you receive it by regular mail.

Who can pick up a vacation cheque in the CCQ’s regional offices?

  • Only people who requested a reissuance BY DECEMBER 15 AT THE LATEST and who received or will receive an email specifying the schedule and the location where they can pick up their cheque.

How to pick up your cheque at a regional office

  • You must wait to receive an email before going to the regional office.
  • You must go to the address given in the email, with two valid pieces of identification, one of which must bear a photograph (Medicare card, driver’s licence, etc.).

How to delegate another person to pick up your cheque

  • If you are unable to go to pick up your cheque, you may designate another person by proxy by filling out the Formulaire de procuration. This form, duly filled out, must be handed in when the cheque is picked up, and the person representing you must present two valid pieces of identification, one of which must bear a photograph (Medicare card, driver’s licence, etc.).
